CHECK-IN
Check –In – You will receive a specific check-in time for you or your team.
Have a coach or 1 person check in for you
Check in is at Naismith Hall
You will then proceed to your room, get settled, dinner is at 4:30
Commuters will check in at designated time given after registration is recieved
After dinner – proceed with KU teams to Anschutz Pavilion
Exhibition will be in Anschutz Pavilion at 12:30 pm, folding recreation chairs must remain on the rubber surface; Parents can arrive no earlier then ½ before 1pm.
Parking for exhibition is available in front of Anschutz or around the Baseball stadium.
CONDUCT
- Campers are expected to encourage and be supportive of other Campers.
- Lights out and practice times will be observed.
- Campers will not leave dorm unless escorted by coach, staff or parent.
- Campers will remain on designated floors and main floor. We will have staff staying on each floor for supervision and Cat Jarzemkoski along with staff will be staying in facility.

§ BEDDING
Linens such as sheets, towels, pillowcases and blanket – NONE OF THE ITEMS ARE PROVIDED BY DORM

- Swimming attire
- Attire for Disco Diva Mixer.

- Pizza Money $10-all meals are covered under the camp fee –many campers like to order pizza at the end of the day. Also, there are vending machines in the lobby. FRONT DESK DOES NOT HAVE CHANGE

HAIR & ATTIRE
- Hair must be tied back and secure at all times.
- No belly rings or jewelry of any sort is allowed for camp workouts.
- You must be able to stunt, stretch, dance and do whatever activity is planned safely and securely.
- Rolled shorts will not be allowed.
- Dance attire is allowed but only one layer.
CHECK OUT
- Check out will begin AFTER exhibition and awards on final day of camp.
- All individuals or coaches must turn in room keys at Naismith Hall
- Spirit Camp will not be selling merchandise. You can visit the KU STORE for KU merchandise located on east side of Allen Fieldhouse The KU Store located at the main entrance of Allen Fieldhouse will have items specific to KU for sale.
- Check out in Café in Naismith
When checking out of dorm please:
Gather stuff and pack
Double check for Bathroom items and CHARGERS
Please pick up all trash and removed alldecorations
Deposit Key into key envelope that your received at check-in
Give to coach if applicable
Coach will take key packet to Café in Naismith and Check out.
Chaperones –
KU team members will be staying on each floor of the dorm – they will escort participants to and from facilities. Dorm will have occupancy of cheerleaders mainly. Males are isolated on top floors. Curfews are set and all participants and coaches will adhere to curfews.
SPECIAL EVENTS
- Camp Mixer - We are hosting a camp mixer that will be held on the last night of camp. Disco Diva Theme– bring attire that fits any Disco Diva. We will have our mixer at approx 6:30 pm.
- Coach’s classes – not only are you able to get personal attention to your team but we are offering special classes to help you make the most of your coaching experience.
- Camp routines – this is an optional category for your team. You can bring any routine less tan 2 minutes. Our experienced staff will judge and give you constructive criticism on your routine.
VIDEO TAPING
Videos are welcome. We will also be providing DVD and CD’s of any musical routines, cheers, and chants taught at the camp.
FINAL DAY
Campers are encouraged to wear their uniforms for the camp performance. Awards are given for individual accomplishments. Parents are welcome.
PARKING
Parking permits will be necessary if you park outside of the Naismith Hall parking lot. Permits are $6 per day. All facilities are no more than 200 feet from dorm and all campers will be escorted by camp staff to and from dorms.
FORMS
ALL WAIVERS AND PHYSICAL SCREEN EXAM MUST BE TURNED IN BEFORE ANY CAMPER IS ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE. All forms are due May 15, 2008 with the exception of the Medical Form, which can be turned in at check-in. In lieu of the Screening Exam form, you may submit proof of a phycial with in 1 year prior to camp. No participant will be permitted to participate with out proof of physical. Copies of front and back of insurance cards are also required. If participants last name is different from parent, please designate childs name on card copy.
FEES
Lost keys will have a $50 charge for each lost key. NO EXCEPTIONS.
TRAINER
Our camp will be providing 2 first response trainers. All coaches or individuals should bring an insurance card or copy for any possible injury that might result in our staff taking a camper to Watkins
Health Center or Lawrence Memorial Hospital. All INDIVIDUAL campers should also have an insurance card or a copy. In addition to Insurance Cards, please notify your coaches or camp trainers of any Medical Alerts that we should be aware of.

Laundry, equipment is located on the first floor. This facility is open 24 hours daily for your convenience.
Vending Machines
A full line of vending machines is located on the first floor.– Located next to Allen Fieldhouse This facility is in walking distance from Naismith Hall across the street. Parking for visitors in lot located northwest of Allen Fieldhouse ff of Irving Hill Road. Sunday you will not need parking permit or pay for parking.Located in the rear of large parking lot next to Naismith Hall
Anschutz Pavilion
Student Recreational Center –
The camp staff and I want to ensure that all have a GREAT time at our camp. We stress that safety is key, learning is second and FUN is above all the most important!! We stress this is not a competitive camp and we encourage all to make new friends and help support one another. All participants will follow rules and regulations of camp and dorm. Any violation of rules could result in camper being sent home.
